Day 8- Research Project Development Part I & II
1. Vocabulary:
1. artificial intelligence - a program for a machine that has the ability to learn, allows a computer to think- learning a new skill and adding it to their 'program
2. artificial - made or produced by people, not real
3. intelligence - The ability to learn
4. program - a sequence of instructions that a computer can interpret and execute. An organized list of instructions that, when executed, causes the computer to behave in a predetermined manner (ex: Voicethread, Microsoft Office, Keynote)

- Go over student examples from the day before of “Real Life” AI (Page 8 of their Journal)

- Referring back to page 7 of your journal, you will add new information to your organizer based on the Article/Robot that you picked. Use this as a resource
- Using Sticky notes (1 per idea), answer the following questions:
- In your opinion, what makes your robot a good robot?
- In your opinion, how could your robot be improved?
- In your opinion, what makes your robot a good robot?
2. GROUP
- Meet with your partner/group and compare sticky notes. Put alike sticky notes together. Talk about it.
- Think about... with computers, is it better for a program to know and find facts (like Watson) OR is it better for a program to be able to learn new things and use them (like Baymax)? Support your answer with a few detailed sentences using vocabulary and ideas you have learned over the last week.
