Focus Area: Be a Computer Scientist
5th Grade
Day 6-7- Computer Science Careers- Animator
1. Vocabulary:
1. computer animation: the manipulation of electronic images by means of a computer in order to create moving images.
2. computer-generated imagery (CGI) animation- three-dimensional (3-D) in which objects and characters are modeled on a plane with an X, Y and Z axis. CGI may refer to static or animated content, whereas computer animation specifically refers to displays of objects in motion.
3. key frames- an outline of the most important movements
4. tweening- mathematical algorithms to fill in the "in-between" frames
